A distinguished Graves from the Bonnet family's esteemed estate

  • This is a wine of considerable structure and roundness, combining power with elegance. The 2022 vintage demonstrates the balance characteristic of the finest Graves, offering both immediate appeal and genuine ageing potential.
  • Whilst this wine can be enjoyed with pleasure now, it possesses the constitution to develop further in bottle. The tannin structure and concentration suggest a wine that will reward patience, revealing greater complexity over the coming years.
  • The aromatic persistence is notably refined, with layers that unfold gradually on the palate. This lingering finish distinguishes it as a wine of substance rather than mere pleasantness.

Breeding
Aged 12 months in oak barrels (50% new) and 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
On the eye
Deep garnet colour with excellent clarity and depth
On the nose
The bouquet presents spiced notes with a distinctive grilled character. There is good aromatic intensity without heaviness, suggesting careful élevage and quality fruit selection.
In the mouth
On the palate, the wine displays considerable power and complexity. The structure is well-defined, with tannins that are ripe yet present. The mid-palate shows good weight, leading to a sustained finish.
M. Francois
This wine pairs admirably with roasted poultry, grilled meats, and dishes prepared with rich sauces. It also complements mature cheeses well. The structure and flavour profile make it particularly suited to game birds and beef preparations where the wine's complexity can shine.

CHÂTEAU DE RESPIDE

Set in Roaillan at the heart of the Graves, Château de Respide extends across 80 hectares of sandy-gravelly, clay, and limestone soils, producing red and white Bordeaux of real character. Founded in 1630, the château passed through several hands before Amélie and Pierre-Edouard Chatin took the reins in 2021, bringing fresh energy to a vineyard now farmed to HVE certification. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, nephew of a former owner, was a regular guest here — a detail that speaks to the singular history of this place. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its viticulture, the breadth of its encépagement, and the consistent balance it strikes between structure and freshness. A true Bordeaux of terroir, rooted in history and carried forward by a new generation.
