In the mouth
Well-structured and balanced. The palate shows good concentration of dark fruit, with tannins that are resolved but still present. A dry finish with lingering cassis and a mineral undertone.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and blackberry dominate, with secondary notes of violet and a whisper of graphite. The bouquet is restrained and classic—no excess, just honest Graves character.
On the eye
Deep garnet, with a hint of brick at the rim suggesting maturity and development in bottle.
This is a wine for those who understand Graves: neither flashy nor austere, but honest and age-worthy. I find it particularly rewarding with spiced cuisine—Indian or North African dishes especially—where its structure and fruit cut through richness beautifully. A sound purchase for the cellar, and already approachable now.
