Product features : Vignoble Dampt Freres Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume 2023

Breeding
Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the aromatic purity of the Chardonnay
On the eye
Pale golden yellow with silvery-green reflections, suggesting freshness and mineral tension.
On the nose
Initial aromas suggest sea spray and aniseed herbs, evolving with air to reveal brioche, star anise, green apple, fresh butter, sweet almond and passion fruit. The aromatic development rewards patient observation.
In the mouth
Pulpous and crisp fruit supported by well-integrated citrus acidity. The mid-palate displays clayey minerality that provides volume and a subtle gourmand quality, finishing with precision and length.
M. Francois
The hallmark of fine Chablis lies in the marriage of freshness, balance and aromatic complexity—all present here in measure. This is a wine for those who understand that Premier Cru Fourchaume represents serious Burgundy, neither over-extracted nor under-realised. A considered choice for the discerning collector of white Burgundy.

VIGNOBLE DAMPT FRERES

Based in Collan in the Yonne, Vignoble Dampt Frères cultivates 135 hectares of Chardonnay across the Yonne, Serein and Armançon valleys, at the heart of the Chablis appellation. Founded in 1982 by Bernard Dampt, a cereal farmer who planted his first vines at Fyé, the estate was grown by his sons Éric and Emmanuel into one of the appellation's most substantial domaines, central to the revival of the Tonnerrois vineyard. Their wines, grown on Kimmeridgian argilo-calcaire soils and HVE certified, deliver the crisp, stony minerality that defines great Chablis. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this estate for the rigour of its viticulture, the authenticity of its terroir expression and the consistency of its range.
