Product features : Albert Boxler Gewurztraminer Reserve 2021 — Alsace Gewurztraminer

In the mouth
Suave and energetic attack. The wine's natural sweetness is beautifully balanced by a refreshing acidity that carries through to a clean, sustained finish.
On the nose
Powerful and multifaceted bouquet: peach kernel, passion fruit, lychee, gingerbread, smoked citrus, peat, wet stone, a mineral note evoking seaweed, menthol, and liquorice. Layered and expressive.
On the eye
Intense yellow hue
Breeding
Aged for 15 months on lees in old wooden vats.
M. Francois
Excellent as an aperitif or alongside exotic fruit desserts. The wine's character also complements foie gras, sweet and sour prawns, and blue cheese such as Roquefort. Its aromatic complexity and balance make it a versatile food wine worthy of considered pairing.

DOMAINE ALBERT BOXLER

Based in Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin, Domaine Albert Boxler farms 14 hectares of steep granite hillsides under the Alsace appellation, with yields deliberately held to 30–35 hl/ha. The Boxler family has been rooted in this village since 1672; Albert Boxler made the estate's first domaine-bottling in 1946, a standard his grandson Jean has upheld since taking the helm in 1996. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision, tension and mineral drive of its whites — Riesling above all — drawn from lean granitic soils that give the wines a clarity and backbone rarely matched in Alsace. A discreet but thoroughly reliable address for lovers of great dry whites.
