  • This wine possesses remarkable versatility at table. Its aromatic profile and natural sweetness complement an exceptionally broad range of dishes, from aperitif through to dessert.
  • Particularly well suited to foie gras, where its weight and complexity provide an elegant counterpoint to the richness of the dish.
  • A generous and refined expression of Gewurztraminer, distinguished by its compelling aromatic character: smoke and preserved fruit notes combine with spice and mineral depth.

In the mouth
Suave and energetic on the attack. The wine's natural sweetness is beautifully balanced by crisp acidity, delivering both richness and freshness in equal measure.
On the nose
Powerful and layered: stone fruit (peach kernel), passion fruit, lychee, gingerbread spice, smoked citrus, peat and wet stone, with a subtle menthol edge.
On the eye
Intense golden yellow.
Breeding
Aged on lees in old wooden vats
M. Francois
Excellent as an aperitif or with exotic fruit desserts. Equally compelling alongside foie gras, sweet and sour prawns, or blue cheese such as Roquefort. The wine's aromatic intensity and balanced sweetness make it a natural partner for Asian-inflected cuisine and spiced dishes.

DOMAINE ALBERT BOXLER

Based in Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin, Domaine Albert Boxler farms 14 hectares of steep granite hillsides under the Alsace appellation, with yields deliberately held to 30–35 hl/ha. The Boxler family has been rooted in this village since 1672; Albert Boxler made the estate's first domaine-bottling in 1946, a standard his grandson Jean has upheld since taking the helm in 1996. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision, tension and mineral drive of its whites — Riesling above all — drawn from lean granitic soils that give the wines a clarity and backbone rarely matched in Alsace. A discreet but thoroughly reliable address for lovers of great dry whites.
