A defining expression of Roussillon's finest terroir

  • Vines reaching 90 years of age form the backbone of this cuvée, cultivated according to biodynamic principles. This maturity and philosophy combine to deliver a wine of considerable depth and character.
  • The fruit expression is notably intense, with layers of dark berry and stone fruit that evolve across the palate. This concentration is balanced by elegant structure rather than weight.
  • Acidity and substance are held in admirable equilibrium. Fine, silky tannins provide framework without dominance, whilst the finish remains savoury and lingering.

On the eye
Deep purple with violet reflections
Breeding
8 months' ageing in concrete vat and old wooden foudres
M. Francois
This wine shows particular affinity with herb-dressed lamb. The wine's silky tannins and savoury finish complement the meat's richness without overwhelming it. A genuinely rewarding pairing that demonstrates the versatility of well-made Roussillon reds.
