In its youth, this Classique pairs excellently with foie gras, sauced red meats, and game dishes. Older vintages achieve remarkable harmony with truffled preparations, grilled red and white meats, game, and mature cheeses of character. The wine's structure suggests a drinking window of ten to fifteen years.

Clos Triguedina is a wine estate in the Cahors appellation (South-West France), run by Jean-Luc Baldès (seventh generation). Around 60 hectares of vines. Main grape: Malbec (Cot). Clay-limestone soils of the Quercy causses. Cuvées: Probus (100% Malbec, aged 30 months in new barrels), The New Black Wine. One of the benchmark estates of the Cahors appellation.
