In the mouth
Ample and fleshy with good juiciness. The wine carries a pleasing length on the finish, with fine-grained tannins providing structure.
On the nose
Open and layered, revealing blackcurrant bud and violet with an underlying note of vanilla oak. The aromatics develop with air.
On the eye
Deep ruby red
This wine pairs admirably with roasted game birds such as guinea fowl, or with beef dishes of moderate richness. A tournedos would be an excellent match. Serve at 16°C after brief decanting to allow the wine to open.

Domaine Pierre Labet is a wine estate in Beaune (Côte de Beaune, Burgundy). Founded by Pierre Labet, linked to the family of Château de la Tour (Clos de Vougeot). Grapes: Pinot Noir (reds) and Chardonnay (whites). Appellations: Beaune, Beaune Premier Cru, Meursault, Gevrey-Chambertin. Organically farmed. Parcel-by-parcel vinification, oak-barrel ageing.
