In the mouth
The palate reveals considerable finesse. Well-integrated tannins are rounded and supple, providing structure without harshness. The finish is long and silky, leaving an impression of elegance and restraint.
On the nose
Intense aromatics of blackcurrant and red plum, layered with vanilla from careful élevage and subtle toasted notes that add complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
On the eye
Deep ruby with garnet undertones, suggesting maturity and concentration.
Breeding
20 months in new French oak demi-muids (580 litres)
M. Francois
Serve with roasted veal and figs, duck with mushrooms, or venison. The wine's refined tannin structure and silky texture make it an excellent partner for game birds and rich meat preparations. Best enjoyed at cellar temperature, decanted thirty minutes before service.
