In the mouth
Silken texture with ripe dark fruit flavours—cassis and blackberry—complemented by black pepper spice, liquorice, and tobacco notes. The finish is long and elegant, with fine, well-integrated tannins that promise further development.
On the nose
A powerful and complex bouquet unfolds with dark berries, violet, leather, and subtle notes of smoke and garrigue. The aromatic profile speaks to the wine's depth and maturity.
On the eye
Deep purple robe with near-black reflections, signalling concentration and considerable ageing potential.
Breeding
12 months in French oak barrels (20% new wood)
M. Francois
This wine finds its natural companion in venison or game birds such as pheasant and quail. The wine's structure and tannin profile make it particularly suited to richly prepared game dishes, where its complexity and refinement will truly shine.
