A refined organic Crozes-Hermitage from the Jaboulet house

  • This wine offers the pure pleasure of 100% Syrah, expressing the character of the northern Rhône terroir with clarity and restraint. The organic viticulture reflects a commitment to sustainable practice without compromising the wine's integrity.
  • The vineyard's vines average 25 years of age, providing mature fruit expression and balanced structure. This maturity contributes to the wine's depth and complexity, whilst maintaining the freshness characteristic of well-made Crozes-Hermitage.
  • This wine pairs particularly well with game dishes, where its spiced red fruit character and refined tannin structure complement rich, savoury preparations. It is equally suited to charcuterie and other cured meats, where its acidity provides welcome freshness.

Product features : Domaine Paul Jaboulet - Crozes-Hermitage Rouge Mule Noire 2021 — Organic

In the mouth
The palate shows good roundness and balance, with tannins that have integrated well. The wine possesses a natural suppleness without heaviness, finishing with a clean, mineral persistence that speaks to the terroir.
On the nose
Aromatic expression of red fruits—cherry and raspberry—with subtle spice notes and a whisper of white pepper. The bouquet is refined rather than forceful, inviting further exploration.
On the eye
Violet-tinged ruby, with good clarity and medium intensity
M. Francois
A wine of quiet confidence. The Mule Noire demonstrates that organic viticulture in Crozes-Hermitage need not sacrifice structure or character. Serve with game, spiced dishes, or a selection of quality charcuterie. The wine will benefit from decanting if enjoyed young, though it will age gracefully over five to seven years.
