In the mouth
Fresh and well-balanced on the palate, with a satisfying fruited finish. The wine maintains good length, the acidity providing structure without severity. A wine that drinks with ease.
On the nose
A refined, aromatic profile. White stone fruits and ripe citrus notes are complemented by delicate white flower aromatics. The bouquet suggests both ripeness and freshness in equal measure.
On the eye
Brilliant pale gold with subtle green highlights
Breeding
Ageing one-third in 30-hectolitre wooden foudres, one-third in Burgundian barrels without racking and one-third in vats, seven months on lees. Blending of different parcels before bottling.
M. Francois
Particularly suited to shellfish preparations, especially moules marinières or simply steamed mussels with white wine and shallots. The wine's natural affinity with seafood reflects the Viognier variety's mineral undertones and crisp acidity. Also excellent with light poultry dishes and fresh goat's cheese.
