This cuvée is aged in 30% new oak barrels for 17 months.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with considerable intensity and lustre.
On the nose
Aromatic profile of red and dark fruits—plum and blackcurrant—with secondary notes of mocha and subtle spice. The bouquet develops with air, revealing the wine's classical Médoc character.
In the mouth
Soft, velvety attack followed by a medium-bodied frame supported by fine acidity that extends the finish with precision. The tannins are already well-integrated, offering an elegant, digestible texture characteristic of well-made second wines.
This Saint-Estéphe will show to particular advantage alongside grilled lamb, charcuterie, or aged cheese such as Reblochon. The wine's structure and balance make it equally suited to casual weekday drinking or more formal occasions. Drink now through 2032.

Château Calon Ségur is an estate in the Saint-Estèphe appellation (Bordeaux), classified Third Growth (1855). Area: 55 hectares. Owned by the Suravenir group since 2012. Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Petit Verdot (5%). Gravel and clay soils. Famous for its heart-adorned label. Certified organic.
