CHATEAU CALON SEGUR
At the northern tip of the Médoc, Château Calon Ségur covers 55 hectares of gravelly soils over clay subsoil within the Saint-Estèphe appellation, classified 3rd Grand Cru in 1855. Founded in 1147, the château entered a new chapter in 2012 under Suravenir Assurances, whose investment programme brought rigorous parcel-by-parcel viticulture, HVE certification, and tightly controlled yields of just 26 hl/ha in 2022. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the singular character of its northerly terroir, the discipline of its vineyard management, and the consistency of its red wines — a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Its heart-adorned label has become one of the most recognisable emblems in all of Bordeaux.
