Bright ruby red with excellent clarity and depth of colour
On the nose
Intense red fruit aromas—cherry and redcurrant—interwoven with subtle spice notes and a mineral undertone characteristic of the limestone subsoil
In the mouth
Supple and rounded on the palate, impeccably balanced with a refreshing acidity that carries through to a lengthy finish. Delicate yet structured, with good grip and persistence. Gourmand without excess.
A versatile table wine. Serve alongside charcuterie, roasted veal, or poultry with wild mushrooms. The wine's natural acidity and mineral backbone make it equally at home with lighter preparations as with more substantial fare. Decant briefly if serving from a cool cellar.

DOMAINE PATRICK BAUDOUIN
Established at Chaudefonds-sur-Layon in Maine-et-Loire, Domaine Patrick Baudouin farms 13 hectares of hillside vineyards on schist, sandstone and volcanic rock from the Massif armoricain, under the Loire appellation. Founded in 1920 by Maria and Louis Juby, the estate was taken over in 1990 by Patrick Baudouin, who converted to organic farming and deliberately restrained yields of 25 to 30 hl/ha to draw the fullest mineral expression from the terroir. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its viticulture, the precision of its Chenin blancs, and the rare distinction of being the only Loire wine included in Michel Chasseuil's celebrated collection of 100 Trésors Millésimés. A Loire reference we are proud to list.
