In the mouth
Well-structured with supple yet powerful tannins that provide excellent backbone. The palate shows good concentration of dark fruit, finishing with a persistent note of black pepper and warm spice that lingers elegantly.
On the nose
An inviting bouquet of ripe red and dark fruits—cherry, plum, and blackberry—mingling with subtle spice notes and hints of garrigue. The aromatics are both seductive and complex.
On the eye
Deep, brilliant ruby red with excellent clarity and depth of colour.
Breeding
Aged 12 months in large oak vats and oak barrels.
This wine shines alongside slow-braised beef with rosemary, where its structure complements the richness of the dish. It is equally at home with Provençal lamb preparations, where the spice notes echo the herbs of the region. A food-friendly wine that rewards careful pairing.

Domaine Pierre Amadieu is a family wine estate in Gigondas (Vaucluse), Southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1929. Around 135 hectares of vines. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault. Appellations: Gigondas, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages. One of the largest Gigondas estates. Cuvée Romane Machotte among the most sought-after.
