In the mouth

DOMAINE TERRES D'HACHENE
Based in Saint-Nazaire-des-Gardies in the Gard, Domaine Terres d'Hachene farms 14 hectares across some twenty parcels of limestone and clay-limestone soils in AOC Languedoc. The mas appears in archives as far back as the 15th century — a Roman oppidum in antiquity, a silk farm in the 19th — and today Lionel Frizon has shaped it into a fully certified organic estate, achieving certification from the 2017 vintage. Grenache noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre and complementary varieties yield reds, whites and rosés of genuine character. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the seriousness of its organic conversion, the diversity of its terroirs and the honesty of wines that speak plainly of the Languedoc. A domaine worth following vintage after vintage.
