On the eye
Deep garnet
On the nose
The bouquet reveals dark berry fruit—plum and black cherry—alongside red fruit notes of raspberry. Violet, subtle spice, and truffle notes add complexity and intrigue to the aromatic profile.
In the mouth
The palate demonstrates fine structure and elegance. The tannins are well-integrated, providing framework without dominating. The wine shows good length and a refined finish that speaks to quality fruit and measured élevage.
M. Francois
This is a wine of genuine food compatibility. A dark chocolate tart, with its bittersweet intensity, finds an ideal partner in Mazeyres' structured fruit and subtle earthy notes. The wine's acidity and tannin cut through the richness of chocolate whilst the wine's fruit notes echo the dessert's complexity.

CHATEAU MAZEYRES

Set on the western and southern terraces of Pomerol, Château Mazeyres covers 25 hectares of sandy gravels and clays on the Catusseau plateau in Gironde. Acquired in 1988 and entrusted to Alain Moueix since 1992, the château completed a full conversion to biodynamic farming, achieving certification in 2018 — a rare commitment at this scale within the appellation. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its agrobiological approach, the precision of its work across complex soils of iron-rich subsoil, sands and clays, and for the character of its reds, built on Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A serious Pomerol for those who seek genuine terroir expression.
