Breeding
14 months in French oak barrels (approximately one-third new wood).
On the eye
Deep garnet in colour, with a lustrous appearance that speaks to the wine's vitality and quality.
On the nose
Aromas of blackcurrant and dark cherry are complemented by gentle spice, with an elegant note of new oak and cocoa. The bouquet unfolds gradually, revealing further complexity with aeration.
In the mouth
The palate shows excellent structure with mature, silky tannins. Flavours of dark fruit, coffee and a whisper of tobacco on the finish create a wine of considerable character and persistence.
