CHATEAU BEYCHEVELLE
Set on the plateau above the Gironde at Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, Château Beychevelle is one of the great names of the Saint-Julien appellation — a 4th Grand Cru Classé of 1855 across 90 hectares of deep Garonne gravels. Founded in 1565 by Bishop François de Foix-Candale, this historic château has maintained a distinctly classical Bordeaux identity over the centuries: structured reds from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, carefully raised on gravel ridges facing the estuary. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its vintages, the precision of its gravel terroir and the integrity of a Saint-Julien style that remains elegant and age-worthy. A reference we recommend to any serious Bordeaux collector.
