Breeding
12 to 14 months in French oak barrels
On the eye
Deep purple with garnet glints at the rim
On the nose
Characterful and vigorous. Blackcurrant and wild bramble mingle with cedar and mineral undertones, typical of the appellation's finest expressions.
In the mouth
A structured wine with firm, present tannins characteristic of Pauillac, softened by Merlot's roundness. The palate is linear and well-balanced, with good grip and length.
M. Francois
Croizet-Bages represents classic, honest Pauillac—eschewing ostentation for fidelity to terroir. This is a wine of gastronomic purpose: the alliance of power, dark fruits, and cedar that defines the appellation, without the premium charged by the super-seconds. An excellent choice for those seeking authentic Pauillac expression.

CHATEAU CROIZET-BAGES

Set on the Bages plateau in Pauillac, Château Croizet-Bages covers 30 contiguous hectares of deep gravel soils, classified 5th Grand Cru in the historic 1855 ranking. Paul Quié rescued the château in 1942 after a difficult period; today the third generation, Anne-Françoise and Jean-Philippe Quié, leads the estate with HVE certification and a renewed focus on precision viticulture. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Pauillac, its classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon-led profile, and its honest standing within the 1855 classification. A Pauillac of genuine character, faithful to the identity of the Bages plateau.
