A balanced blend for complete satisfaction

  • This 2020 demonstrates genuine ageing potential. The structure and balance of the blend suggest the wine will develop further complexity over the next five to eight years, rewarding patience with deeper, more integrated flavours.
  • The aromatic profile reflects the character of Mourvèdre and Syrah in equal measure. Ripe stone fruits and dark berries are complemented by subtle vanilla and spice notes that speak to the wine's careful élevage.
  • Sourced directly through Les Halles de Quercamps, this wine represents genuine value. Our long-standing relationship with the producer allows us to offer a wine of this calibre without unnecessary intermediary costs.

In the mouth
Powerful and rich, with firm tannins that frame the fruit well. The palate shows good concentration and a long, persistent finish that speaks to the wine's structure and balance.
On the nose
Complex and inviting: ripe dark fruits, vanilla from oak élevage, and a whisper of white pepper and garrigue spice. The aromatics develop as the wine opens.
On the eye
Brilliant garnet with good depth of colour
Breeding
18 months in 100% new oak barrels
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with game birds—duck and pigeon in particular. The wine's structure and spice notes complement the richness of these meats admirably. It would also suit beef dishes with darker sauces, or aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–17°C after brief decanting.
