In the mouth
Balanced and structured on the palate. Fine-grained tannins provide support without astringency. The finish is clean and persistent, leaving a savoury impression.
On the nose
Refined aromatics of red and dark berries mingle with white pepper and subtle spice. The bouquet is elegant rather than bombastic, inviting closer inspection.
On the eye
Deep ruby with violet reflections; colour speaks to the wine's concentration and youth.
M. Francois
A versatile food wine. Pair with game birds, roasted lamb, and beef dishes where its tannin structure complements richness. Equally at home with aged hard cheeses. Drink now through 2032.

DOMAINE COURSODON

Based in Mauves, Ardèche, Domaine Coursodon farms 16 hectares of steep granite and schist terraces in the Saint-Joseph appellation, Vallée du Rhône. Founded in the late nineteenth century, the estate has passed through five generations: Jérôme Coursodon joined his father Pierre in 1998 and has steadily established it as one of the appellation's most authoritative addresses, producing Syrah-based reds and whites from Marsanne and Roussanne. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision of its élevage, the taut minerality of its whites, and the depth of its reds from terraces overlooking the Rhône. A characterful, HVE-certified estate we recommend without reservation to lovers of serious Saint-Joseph.
