Generations of expertise in every bottle

  • This white Saint-Joseph expresses the distinctive character of its granite-based terroir. Coursodon's long-established mastery of these slopes yields a wine of genuine mineral definition and depth.
  • The Paradis Saint-Pierre parcel reveals the house style: a wine of richness and textural weight, balanced by the crystalline minerality that only granite soils can impart. Fruit and stone in harmony.
  • Sourced from mature vines of considerable age, these parcels contribute complexity and concentration. The older plants yield smaller crops of greater intensity and character.

In the mouth
The palate is round and generous, with a textural richness that unfolds across the mid-palate. Granite minerality provides a refreshing counterpoint, whilst roasted almond and hazelnut notes develop with air. A wine of substance and finesse.
On the nose
Aromas of honey and overripe stone fruit dominate the bouquet, with secondary notes of toasted almond and hazelnut emerging as the wine opens in the glass.
On the eye
Golden yellow with bright, luminous reflections
Breeding
Ageing on fine lees with weekly stirring
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with poultry dishes prepared with cream-based sauces, particularly when accompanied by morels. The wine's richness complements the earthiness of the mushrooms whilst its mineral character cuts through the sauce's weight, creating an elegant balance on the palate.

DOMAINE COURSODON

Based in Mauves, Ardèche, Domaine Coursodon farms 16 hectares of steep granite and schist terraces in the Saint-Joseph appellation, Vallée du Rhône. Founded in the late nineteenth century, the estate has passed through five generations: Jérôme Coursodon joined his father Pierre in 1998 and has steadily established it as one of the appellation's most authoritative addresses, producing Syrah-based reds and whites from Marsanne and Roussanne. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision of its élevage, the taut minerality of its whites, and the depth of its reds from terraces overlooking the Rhône. A characterful, HVE-certified estate we recommend without reservation to lovers of serious Saint-Joseph.
