In the mouth

White flowers predominate—acacia and hawthorn—with secondary notes of coconut water and a subtle mineral undertone. The bouquet develops gradually in the glass, revealing further complexity.
On the eye
Golden robe with pale amber highlights, suggesting good concentration from mature vines.

Serve this wine with shellfish preparations—particularly clams and other molluscs—where its mineral character will sing. Equally at home with grilled white fish such as sea bream. LE CLOS DU CAILLOU

Le Clos du Caillou is a wine estate in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (Southern Rhône). Run by Sylvie Vacheron and Bruno Gaspard. Around 53 hectares. Grapes: Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault (reds), Roussanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc (whites). Organically farmed. Cuvées: Les Quartz, Les Safres, Reserve. Wines of great depth and complexity.
