In the mouth
Fine and elegant on the palate with good length. The wine shows excellent balance between acidity and fruit, with a saline minerality that persists through the finish. Structured without heaviness.
On the nose
Citrus and stone fruit aromas dominate, with fresh, crisp notes that suggest grapefruit and white peach. A mineral undertone adds complexity and suggests the chalky soils of the appellation.

Ageing in wood in a 600-litre vessel
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted prawns or scallop brochettes, where its mineral salinity and crisp acidity complement the sweetness of shellfish. It is equally suited to lighter fish dishes and fresh seafood preparations. Serve at 8–10°C.

DOMAINE ANTOINE SANZAY
Based in Varrains at the heart of Saumur-Champigny, Domaine Antoine Sanzay farms 11 hectares of tuffeau and argilo-calcaire soils in the central Loire. From a winemaking family across seven generations, Antoine left the local cooperative in 1999, founded his independent estate in 2013, and achieved organic certification in 2014. His Cabernet Franc from the south-facing slopes of lieu-dit Les Poyeux delivers the taut, mineral character that defines the finest tuffeau terroirs. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this estate for the precision of its winemaking, its organic integrity, and the frank, true-to-type expression of its Saumur-Champigny reds — a reliable reference for Cabernet Franc from the Loire in its most honest form.
