Pomerol's finest terroir, organically farmed

  • This 2020 vintage demonstrates the classical elegance for which Château Mazeyres is recognised. Pomerol, one of Bordeaux's smallest appellations, is celebrated for the aromatic intensity and geological distinction of its terroirs—qualities evident in this wine's harmonious character.
  • Certified organic and biodynamic by FR-BIO-01 Agriculture France and Biodyvin (Ecocert France SA). The estate's commitment to sustainable viticulture is reflected in the wine's purity and natural expression.
  • Les Halles de Quercamps sources directly from the finest Bordeaux producers, allowing us to offer this distinguished Pomerol at a fair price that reflects its quality and provenance.

Product features : Le Seuil de Mazeyres 2020 — Pomerol — Organic

In the mouth
The palate is supple and juicy through the mid-palate, with a fresh, lively finish. The wine displays excellent balance and a lingering, mineral-edged conclusion.
On the nose
Aromatic complexity unfolds with menthol and spice notes, complemented by ripe red fruit. The bouquet is layered and inviting, characteristic of fine Pomerol.
On the eye
Brilliant ruby-red with intense, luminous reflections
Breeding
11 months in 58% stainless steel and concrete eggs, 42% in large oak vats and older barrels
M. Francois
Le Seuil de Mazeyres is a wine of genuine pleasure, approachable in its youth yet sufficiently structured to reward cellaring. The harmony between fruit, tannin, and acidity makes it an exemplary expression of Pomerol's potential. A fine addition to any serious cellar.

CHATEAU MAZEYRES

Set on the western and southern terraces of Pomerol, Château Mazeyres covers 25 hectares of sandy gravels and clays on the Catusseau plateau in Gironde. Acquired in 1988 and entrusted to Alain Moueix since 1992, the château completed a full conversion to biodynamic farming, achieving certification in 2018 — a rare commitment at this scale within the appellation. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its agrobiological approach, the precision of its work across complex soils of iron-rich subsoil, sands and clays, and for the character of its reds, built on Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A serious Pomerol for those who seek genuine terroir expression.
