Breeding
In French oak barrels, often from Carbonnieux casks, for 12 to 15 months
On the eye
Deep ruby-red with garnet highlights.
On the nose
The bouquet reveals layers of dark fruit, cedar and tobacco leaf, with subtle vanilla oak and a mineral undertone that speaks to the terroir.
In the mouth
On the palate, cassis and blackberry lead, supported by cocoa and spice notes. The tannins are supple and well-integrated, finishing with length and composure.
M. Francois
A natural companion to roasted red meats, braised dishes and mature cheeses. Its depth and structure will reward those who lay it down, though it is approachable now. A sound choice for the serious collector seeking authentic Bordeaux character.
