Breeding

On the eye
Pale ruby with violet reflections in youth, gradually evolving towards garnet as the wine matures.
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of red fruits—redcurrant and cherry—with delicate floral notes of rose, characteristic of the Cabernet Franc variety at its best.
In the mouth
Supple and fleshy on the palate. The tannins are silky and refined, almost sweetened by the ripeness of the fruit, delivering a remarkable roundness and fluidity for a Bourgueil.
Jacky Blot has achieved something noteworthy here: a high-quality wine of genuine drinkability that transcends the sometimes rustic reputation of Cabernet Franc. The wine is fluid, ripe, and remarkably approachable. Excellent with charcuterie, grilled meats, or simply on its own merit.

DOMAINE DE LA BUTTE - JACKY BLOT
Domaine de la Butte is a wine estate in the Bourgueil appellation (Loire Valley), created in 2002 by Jacky Blot (also owner of Taille aux Loups in Montlouis). Grape: Cabernet Franc. Around 14 hectares on tuffeau, gravel and clay soils. Single-vineyard cuvées: Mi-Pente, Perrières, Haut de la Butte. Wines of great precision and fine depth.
