A fresh, spiced Gigondas of genuine pleasure and structure

  • This is a wine of substance and generosity. The structure comes from careful viticulture and natural ripeness, not extraction. A serious Gigondas that rewards attention.
  • Hand-harvested fruit ensures only the finest grapes reach the cellar. This labour-intensive approach reflects the domaine's commitment to quality over convenience.
  • A natural companion to the table. Whether roasted lamb, braised beef with herbs, or game, this wine's balance and spice make it equally at home with simple bistro fare or more elaborate provençal cooking.

In the mouth
The palate is structured yet approachable, with supple tannins that have real presence. A persistent finish of black pepper and dried herbs lingers pleasantly, leaving no doubt of the wine's breeding.
On the nose
An inviting bouquet of red and dark berries—cherry, plum, blackcurrant—layered with subtle spice and garrigue notes that hint at the wine's Rhône provenance.
On the eye
Deep ruby-red with a brilliant, luminous quality that speaks of ripe, healthy fruit.
Breeding
Aged 12 months in large oak vats and oak barrels.
M. Francois
Serve this with slow-braised beef in rosemary, or with lamb à la provençale where its peppery notes will echo the herbs. The wine's balance makes it equally rewarding with simpler fare—a roasted chicken or herb-crusted lamb chops. Decant thirty minutes before serving to allow the aromatics to open fully.
