In the mouth
The palate is taut and well-structured, with ample, refined tannins providing excellent backbone. A long, fresh finish leaves an impression of elegance and balance throughout.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with notes of dark berries and black currant, complemented by hints of exotic wood and a subtle toasted, almost chocolatey undertone that develops with air.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with violet reflections
Breeding
Aged 18 to 24 months in barrels renewed at 60%.
M. Francois
This wine will accompany roasted lamb saddle, oven-roasted beef, or glazed duck breast with considerable grace. Its structure and complexity make it equally suited to mature hard cheeses. The 2022 demonstrates excellent cellaring potential for those inclined to lay it down.

CHATEAU MONBOUSQUET

Situated at Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens on the south-western plain of Saint-Émilion, Château Monbousquet extends across 32 hectares of gravel, sand and clay soils. Founded in 1540, the château entered a new era in 1993 when Gérard and Chantal Perse took ownership: yields were brought down to 28 hl/ha, élevage was tightened, and the ambition paid off with Grand Cru Classé status in 2006. The château also holds a rare distinction as a pioneer of white wine within the appellation, blending Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Sémillon. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its vineyard management, the consistency of its style — balancing power with finesse — and its uncommon red-and-white identity within Saint-Émilion. A Bordeaux reference we are proud to list.
