Product features : Chateau la Lagune - 3eme Cru Classé 2022 — Haut-Médoc — Organic

Breeding
Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, with 50% new wood, imparting subtle aromas of vanilla, toast and spice that blend harmoniously with the fruit
On the eye
Deep garnet with youthful intensity
On the nose
The bouquet opens with fresh, inviting aromas of red fruits—blackcurrant and cherry predominate—with subtle floral notes that develop with aeration.
In the mouth
The palate is round and generous, displaying fine-grained tannins and good acidity that provides freshness and definition. The wine shows both immediate appeal and the structure for medium-term cellaring.
M. Francois
This wine pairs admirably with duck confit, beef preparations such as entrecôte bordelaise, and mature cheeses. It represents the classical elegance of Haut-Médoc: approachable now, yet rewarding those who allow it further development.

CHATEAU LA LAGUNE

Situated at Ludon-Médoc in the Gironde, Château la Lagune is a 3rd Grand Cru Classé of 1855, with 80 hectares of light gravel soils in the Haut-Médoc appellation. Taken over in 2000 by the Frey family under Caroline Frey's direction, the château has pursued a thorough conversion to biodynamic viticulture, earning Biodyvin certification in 2021 — the tenth Bordeaux château to do so. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot find their fullest expression across a north-south oriented gravel ridge. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the integrity of its approach: a classified growth conducted entirely in organic and biodynamic farming, with no concession to the identity of the Haut-Médoc. A benchmark red for lovers of characterful Bordeaux.
