On the eye
Brilliant deep garnet with dark reflections
On the nose
The bouquet reveals ripe dark fruits—blackcurrant and plum—with subtle spice notes and a whisper of cedar. The aromatics develop with measured complexity.
In the mouth
The palate is direct and juicy, with fine-grained tannins that provide structure without heaviness. A wine of good length with a clean, mineral finish characteristic of the appellation.
M. Francois
This wine complements duck preparations admirably, particularly ballottine or confit. It pairs equally well with roasted veal or a selection of mature cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C to appreciate its full character.

CLOS DU MARQUIS

Planted across 45 hectares of quaternary graves at Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, Clos du Marquis is a Bordeaux red of genuine Médoc pedigree, sitting on a west-facing plateau at twenty metres' elevation. Founded in 1902 by the Delon family, it takes its name from the Petit Clos adjoining historic Château de Léoville, once home to the Marquis de Las Cases. Distinct from Léoville Las Cases, it has earned recognition as a first wine in its own right, blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc with quiet authority. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the rigour of its viticulture, the clarity of its identity and the consistency it delivers vintage after vintage on the graves of Saint-Julien. A Médoc red of real character — precise, generous and built to age.
