Breeding
Approximately 18 months in French oak barrels (100% new wood, but perfectly integrated).
On the eye
Deep purple robe with garnet highlights.
On the nose
An elegant and layered bouquet, dominated by ripe red fruit aromas, violet, with subtle undertones of cedar and dark chocolate.
In the mouth
On the palate, the wine presents a velvety texture with silky tannins. Intense flavours of dark fruit, plum and a whisper of truffle develop through the finish.
The refined aromatics and balanced structure mark this as an accomplished Pomerol, worthy of serious collectors of fine Bordeaux. Approachable now, yet possessing sufficient depth to reward cellaring for several years, revealing further complexity with time.

Château La Fleur de Gay is an estate in the Pomerol appellation (Bordeaux, Right Bank). Area: 1 hectare. Selection of one of the finest parcels of Château Croix de Gay. Grape: Merlot (100%). Clay and gravel soils. Very limited production of around 3,000 bottles per year. Garage wine of great richness and concentration. Aged in new oak barrels.
