Intense bouquet of red fruits—cherry and raspberry—interwoven with herbaceous and floral notes. Distinctive chalky minerality emerges on closer inspection, characteristic of the terroir.
In the mouth
Structured palate with refined tannins and good length. The wine balances ripe fruit with mineral precision, finishing with a pleasant acidity that invites another sip.
This is a wine of genuine character. Serve it slightly cool with a selection of cured meats, or alongside grilled vegetables and lighter meat dishes. Domaine Antoine Sanzay is a wine estate in the Saumur-Champigny appellation (Loire Valley). Run by Antoine Sanzay. Around 12 hectares of vines. Main grape: Cabernet Franc. Limestone tuffeau soils. Parcel-by-parcel vinification in tank and oak barrels. Cuvées: Les Poyeux, Les Salles Martin. Wines of great precision, fresh and structured. Available at Les Halles de Quercamps.
