Intense golden hue with brilliant clarity and subtle amber reflections.
On the nose
Orchard fruits predominate—apricot and peach—with delicate floral notes and a whisper of exotic spice that adds complexity without overwhelming.
In the mouth
Apricot and stone fruits dominate, supported by a supple, elegant texture of ripe fruit. The finish turns towards citrus—grapefruit and bergamot—providing a refreshing counterpoint to the wine's inherent sweetness.
This wine rewards patience. Whilst approachable now, it will develop considerably over the next five to ten years, gaining depth and complexity. Cellaring will enhance the interplay between fruit and acidity, revealing further layers of character. A wine worth revisiting across a decade.

CHATEAU LAFAURIE-PEYRAGUEY
Established at Bommes in the Gironde, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is a Premier Cru Classé of Sauternes 1855, its 18 hectares of quaternary graves and clay set at 70 metres altitude. Founded in 1618 by Raymond Peyraguey, the château was acquired in 2014 by Silvio Denz — chairman of the Lalique Group — who undertook a thorough restoration of the vineyard and cellars, bringing the estate to HVE certification. Yields held between 5 and 18 hl/ha depending on the vintage reflect an uncompromising approach. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the precision of its Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle blends, and for the consistency it delivers across every vintage. A benchmark Sauternes, true to the spirit of the 1855 classification.
