  • This 2022 vintage demonstrates the hallmark precision and remarkable ageing potential for which the château is recognised. The wine's architecture—built on mature tannins and balanced structure—promises graceful development over the coming decades.

In the mouth
The attack is lively and precise. The palate unfolds with density, marrying ripe dark fruits with supple, well-integrated tannins. The finish is persistent and refined, offering a creamy texture balanced by refreshing acidity—a wine of poise and length.
On the nose
The bouquet is concentrated and layered, revealing dark berry fruit with appealing freshness. Aromas of blackcurrant and plum are underpinned by a mineral tension that speaks to the vineyard's terroir and the wine's inherent structure.
On the eye
Deep garnet, with the dense colour characteristic of Left Bank Pauillac.
Breeding
Aged for 12 to 16 months, approximately one-third in new oak barrels
M. Francois
Grand-Puy Ducasse occupies a distinguished position among Pauillac's Fifth Growths, a classification that encompasses twelve estates of considerable standing. Its peers—Batailley, Grand Puy Lacoste, and d'Armailhac among them—represent the appellation's depth of quality beyond the first four growths.

CHATEAU GRAND-PUY DUCASSE

Classified 5th Grand Cru in 1855, Château Grand-Puy Ducasse covers 40 hectares of sandy gravel soils across the Pauillac appellation, with parcels from the slopes to the Saint-Lambert plateau. Founded in 1675, the estate entered a new era in 2004 when CA Grands Crus (Crédit Agricole) took ownership, launching a thorough overhaul crowned by the Renaissance project, inaugurated in 2024 and awarded the Best Of d'or 2026 by the Great Wine Capitals network. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for its HVE- and Terra Vitis-certified viticulture, the consistency of its Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot assemblage, and a quality trajectory sustained over two decades. A Pauillac of genuine character, true to the Médoc Classés spirit.
