On the eye
Deep purple, with the density and hue characteristic of serious Saint-Émilion.
On the nose
Powerful fruit aromas dominate, with dark cherry and plum notes complemented by subtle mineral undertones and hints of graphite typical of the terroir.
In the mouth
The Merlot component provides roundness and textural richness, whilst Cabernet Franc contributes structure, aromatic complexity and a persistent finish. Well-balanced and complete.
This wine pairs admirably with game birds—a roasted partridge with wild mushrooms and grapes would be an excellent match, allowing the wine's structure and fruit to complement the richness of the dish without overwhelming it.

CHATEAU LA MONDOTTE
Covering just 4 hectares of clay-limestone soils on the eastern plateau of Saint-Émilion, Château la Mondotte ranks among the most discreet Premiers Grands Crus Classés B on Bordeaux's Right Bank. Acquired in 1971 by the Comtes von Neipperg and relaunched as La Mondotte in 1996 under Stephan von Neipperg, with Stéphane Derenoncourt directing vinification, the château earned its promotion to 1er Grand Cru Classé B in 2012 — a distinction built on organic farming and controlled yields of 36 to 45 hl/ha. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its viticulture, the character of its east-facing plateau terroir, and a style that holds density and freshness in genuine balance. A Saint-Émilion rouge that rewards the attention of any serious Bordeaux enthusiast.
