Product features : Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere - Grand Cru Classé 2022 — Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Breeding
Fifteen to eighteen months in new oak barrels (60%), on fine lees
On the eye
Deep garnet, with an inviting intensity of colour
On the nose
Ripe red fruits dominate—plum and cherry—with subtle spice notes that add complexity and suggest the wine's underlying structure. The aromatics are clean and well-defined.
In the mouth
Generously weighted on the palate with a fleshy mid-palate. The tannins are fine-grained and silky, providing structure without heaviness. A wine of balance and elegance.
M. Francois
Canon la Gaffeliere is at its best alongside game—venison, pheasant, or duck—where its structured tannins and savoury undertones complement richly prepared dishes. The wine's natural acidity and complexity also make it a thoughtful choice for the table, developing further grace with five to ten years' bottle age.
