In the mouth
Rich and savoury on the palate, with a pleasing weight and texture. The tannins are well-integrated, providing structure without harshness. A wine of balance and poise, with a finish that lingers with quiet authority.
On the nose
The bouquet is expressive and fruit-forward, revealing dark berry notes with subtle hints of cedar and graphite that emerge as the wine opens. The aromatic profile speaks to the wine's Pauillac-influenced terroir.
On the eye
Deep, concentrated colour with fine clarity
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with lamb dishes, particularly navarin with root vegetables, where the wine's savoury character and structured tannins complement the richness of the meat and the earthiness of the vegetables. Also excellent with beef preparations and mature cheeses.
