Product features : Clos des Jacobins 2022 — Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

In the mouth
A wine of considerable presence. The tannins are ripe and generous, providing a firm backbone without harshness. The palate is broad and generous, with good length and a dry, mineral finish that speaks to the clay-limestone soils.
On the nose
Layered aromatics reveal smoked meat and dark stone fruits—blackberry and plum—interwoven with white pepper and subtle spice. The bouquet develops with air, showing the complexity of a well-made Merlot-based blend.
On the eye
Deep, luminous garnet with an intense, sustained colour that speaks to the wine's structure and maturity potential.
Breeding
Aged for 18 months in new oak barrels.
M. Francois
This is a wine for the table. Pair it with roasted red meats, beef braised in wine, or game birds. The structure will complement charcuterie and rich sauces. A bottle to decant an hour before service, best enjoyed over the next ten to fifteen years as the tannins soften and secondary flavours emerge.
