CHATEAU VIEUX MAILLET
Positioned on the eastern rim of the Pomerol plateau, Château Vieux Maillet covers 8 hectares of Merlot and Cabernet Franc planted on sands, gravels, clays and the iron-rich subsoil known locally as crasses de fer — a terroir that defines the finest wines of this celebrated right-bank appellation. Acquired in 2004, the château entered a new chapter in September 2022 when Frédéric Stévenin took ownership and immediately committed the estate to organic conversion, with full certification expected from the 2026 vintage. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the clarity of its winemaking vision, the authenticity of its Pomerol terroir, and the rigour with which its organic transition is being pursued. A château to watch closely.
