A century of family stewardship in Pauillac

  • Lynch-Moussas commands one of Pauillac's finest terroirs, where gravel and clay soils produce wines of remarkable structure and longevity. The vineyard's south-facing aspect and proximity to the Gironde estuary create ideal conditions for consistent quality.
  • Classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux hierarchy, Lynch-Moussas has maintained its standing through rigorous viticulture and thoughtful winemaking. This classification reflects the estate's enduring reputation amongst serious collectors.
  • The 2022 vintage is a wine of considerable ageing potential. Its mineral backbone and refined tannin structure suggest a twenty-year evolution ahead, developing complexity and secondary characteristics with time in bottle.

Product features : Chateau Lynch-Moussas - 5eme Cru Classé 2022 — Pauillac

Breeding
Ageing for 18 months in oak barrels, comprising 50% new oak and 50% one-year-old oak.
On the eye
Deep purple with violet undertones, suggesting youth and concentration.
On the nose
The bouquet reveals rose petals, dark chocolate, and ripe bilberry, complemented by subtle garrigue and smoke. The aromatics are composed and layered, developing with aeration.
In the mouth
Fresh and mineral-driven on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and good acidity. The wine shows restraint and elegance rather than weight, with a persistent finish.
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb—particularly a shoulder with wild mushrooms—or beef fillet with autumn vegetables. The mineral character also complements herb-crusted preparations. Decant one hour before service to allow the aromatics to fully express themselves.
