CHATEAU PRIEURE-LICHINE
Situated in Cantenac at the heart of the Margaux appellation, Château Prieuré-Lichine extends across 78 hectares of Günz gravels and was classified 4th Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Founded by Benedictine monks in 1444, the château gained international renown under Alexis Lichine — known as the 'Pope of Wine' — before passing to Groupe Ballande in 1999. Today it produces structured, Cabernet Sauvignon-led reds of real consistency, with yields held between 28 and 31 hl/ha and HVE certification. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the reliability of its vintages, the precision of its viticulture, and its genuine expression of Margaux terroir.
