Where terroir and cépage achieve perfect harmony

  • The second white expression from Domaine de Chevalier, this Pessac-Léognan blanc demonstrates the estate's commitment to quality across its range. A wine of considerable finesse and restraint.
  • Vibrant and architecturally complex, this wine balances energy with sophistication. The palate shows admirable definition and a mineral spine that speaks clearly of its Graves terroir.
  • The aromatic profile is refined rather than showy: subtle notes of toasted hazelnut and vanilla provide depth without overshadowing the fruit. A wine of genuine charm and poise.

Breeding
Aged in barrel with lees stirring for 18 months.
On the eye
Pale golden yellow with crystalline, faintly silvered reflections. Bright and luminous in the glass.
On the nose
Restrained and elegant on the nose. Subtle impressions of toasted hazelnut and vanilla provide textural interest without dominating the fruit-forward character. The aromatic expression is one of understated refinement.
In the mouth
Lively and incisive on the palate, with considerable energy and focus. The wine cuts cleanly across the mid-palate, driven by mineral acidity and a persistent, dry finish. Structurally impressive.
M. Francois
A wine of considerable versatility at table. Consider it alongside blanquette de veau, roasted lamb, or poached white fish such as cod. The wine's mineral character and acidity make it equally rewarding as an aperitif wine, or paired with shellfish and lighter seafood preparations.
