On the eye
Intense, deep purple colour, nearly opaque at the core
On the nose
Aromas of dark berries with subtle hints of cream. The bouquet is restrained and inviting, developing with time in the glass.
In the mouth
Intense and full-bodied, with blackcurrant and dark fruit notes complemented by earthy undertones. The tannins are rounded and well-integrated, providing structure without harshness.
An excellent companion to grilled or sauced red meats. Equally at home with forest mushrooms, lamb cutlets, duck, and game such as venison or pheasant. A versatile wine that rewards careful food pairing and will develop further over the next five to seven years.
