Organic viticulture since 2006, expressing authentic terroir

  • Domaine Cavalier crafts wines of singular character, allowing the distinctive terroir of Saint-Guilhem le Désert to speak clearly. This 2022 white demonstrates the house's commitment to letting fruit and place define the wine, rather than imposing a house style.
  • The domaine is situated within the prestigious vineyard holdings of Château de Lascaux, benefiting from the same limestone-rich soils and Mediterranean climate that have shaped this region's reputation for elegant, mineral-driven whites.
  • Les Halles de Quercamps sources directly from the domaine, allowing us to offer this organic wine at grower's terms rather than through the conventional merchant markup. A fair price reflecting genuine value.

Product features : Domaine Cavalier Val de Montferrand 2022 — St-Guilhem Mtferrand — Organic

In the mouth
A lively, clean attack emphasises freshness and natural fruit character. The palate is well-balanced and fruit-forward, with peach and mango aromatics developing through the mid-palate. Refreshing acidity carries the wine to a clean finish.
On the nose
The opening is distinctly tropical—pineapple and candied citrus—before developing into riper stone fruits: yellow peach and nectarine. The bouquet remains fresh and inviting throughout.
On the eye
Pale, silvery appearance with greenish glints
Breeding
On fine lees for 3 to 4 weeks
M. Francois
This wine suits a broad repertoire of Mediterranean cooking. Serve as an aperitif, or pair with Provençal tarte, tian of summer vegetables, or light fish preparations. Its natural acidity and fruit-driven profile make it equally at home with charcuterie and soft cheeses. Drink young, whilst the freshness is most apparent.
