In the mouth
Graceful and aromatic on the palate, with good weight and richness balanced by clean mineral acidity. The fruit expression is restrained and elegant, finishing with pleasant length and freshness
On the nose
Complex bouquet of white flowers and fresh spice notes—anise and fennel prominent—with underlying mineral character typical of the limestone-rich terroir
On the eye
Clear and bright, pale yellow-green with subtle golden reflections
Breeding
Stirring on fine lees in concrete vats for 4 to 5 months
M. Francois
A versatile food wine of considerable merit. Excellent with grilled fish, white meats, lamb dishes, and aged goat's cheese. The mineral backbone and moderate alcohol make it equally suitable for aperitif service. Drink now through 2026.

CHÂTEAU D'ANGLÈS

Set on the maritime slopes of La Clape at Saint-Pierre-la-Mer in the Aude, Château d'Anglès covers 45 hectares of hard limestone scree and rounded galets within the Languedoc appellation, shaped by the Mediterranean. Documented as early as 1226 under the Baillys d'Anglès, the estate was restructured from 2001 by Eric Fabre — formerly technical director at Château Lafite Rothschild — and his wife Christine, bringing Bordeaux precision to a resolutely southern terroir. The result is a range of reds, whites, and rosés of genuine character, all produced under HVE certification. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this estate for its exceptional terroir, rigorous viticulture, and the clarity of its wines. A Languedoc of real substance, rooted in its soil.
