A Sancerre of poise and genuine character, ready to enjoy

  • The Etienne Henri cuvée represents the finest expression of Domaine Henri Bourgeois's commitment to Sancerre. This dry, fruit-driven wine captures the essence of the Loire terroir with admirable precision and balance.
  • Generous and full-bodied for a Sauvignon, this wine surprises with its refreshing acidity and seductive notes of tropical fruit. The interplay between richness and freshness makes it a compelling expression of the appellation.
  • Whilst approachable in its youth, this Sancerre possesses the structure and complexity to develop gracefully over several years, revealing further layers of mineral character and depth.

In the mouth
The palate offers considerable volume with an almost creamy texture, balanced by crisp acidity. The wine finishes with impressive length and a lingering mineral quality.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with spiced and vanilla notes, complemented by enticing hints of exotic fruit and subtle mineral undertones. A complex and inviting aromatic profile.
On the eye
Pale golden yellow with brilliant clarity and fine luminosity.
Breeding
Aged 12 months on fine lees.
M. Francois
This Sancerre pairs beautifully with poached Bresse chicken and truffles, where its richness complements the earthiness of the dish. It is equally at home with fresh goat's cheese, where the wine's acidity and fruit provide an elegant counterpoint to the cheese's creaminess.
