Breeding
12 to 18 months in oak barrels to impart depth and complexity whilst respecting the fruit expression
On the eye
Deep garnet-red with violet glints; concentrated and luminous in the glass.
On the nose
Complex and inviting bouquet of black cherry and plum, with white pepper, dried Provençal herbs and a whisper of vanilla oak.
In the mouth
Structured and elegant, with fine-grained tannins. Dark fruits—blackberry and cassis—mingle with liquorice and dark chocolate, leading to a long, balanced finish.
Well-proportioned tannins and concentrated aromatics make this an excellent companion to grilled red meats, braised dishes and mature cheeses. A wine of substance and refinement that will develop further over several years in the cellar.

Domaine de la Mordorée is a wine estate in Tavel and Lirac, in the southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe. Around 55 hectares of vines. Appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Tavel, Lirac, Côtes du Rhône. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Clairette. Organically farmed.
